Kay Hardy Campbell is a Maine-based author with a speciality in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia.  Her recent book is "A Caravan of Brides" is a novel set in the world of Saudi women; she also lectures on Middle East subjects, studies and performs Arabic music and is a director of the annual Arabic Music Retreat at Mount Holyoke College.  
A resident of Jefferson ME, Kay has expressed her love for Maine woods and lakes in pieces written for Down East Magazine, Cabin Life Magazine and the Aroostook Review.Kay's roots in Maine run deep: her family had a camp in northern Maine while she was growing up and her great-grandfather fought with a Maine regiment in the Civil War. She and her husband run a business in Jefferson called "Rustic Workbench-Home Made goods from the Maine Woods."
