Jan 03, 2023 7:30 AM
Riley Stevenson is a climate activist from Waldoboro. She has worked on local and statewide climate initiatives in the spheres of advocacy, activism, and policy change. She is most interested in the social and economic impacts of the climate crisis on Maine's communities, and on solving problems related to disconnect between those creating policy surrounding this issue and those being impacted by it. She graduated from Lincoln Academy in 2021, took a gap year which brought her as far away as central Chile and as close to home as Portland, and is now studying Environmental Studies and International and Public Affairs at Brown University. |

Educators In Residence Program
Feb 07, 2023 7:30 AM
KWE's Educator in Residence program: In each school, the EIR uses their training in KWE's experiential approach to social-emotional learning and based on four pillars: core-curricular instruction, counseling and behavioral intervention, extracurricular activity, and faculty and staff duties. By partnering with a faculty or staff mentor, EIRs support their school in each of those four areas to help students grow into more socially and emotionally competent learners.
The EIR program is possible because of generous donors including the Shelby Cullom Davis Charitable Fund. |
