The pantry was started around 1989 by Ruth Ives and Gail Berry. They were both on the Mission Team at Second Congregational Church (SCC) at the time and found that they were overwhelmed with requests for money for food. They decided that they needed to do more. The founders went to seven local churches to see if an Ecumenical pantry could be formed. It was formed as a completely volunteer non-profit organization and remains so to this day.

Story-Sharing Potluck Supper: Free, public, inclusive, intergenerational, non-partisan event.

It is my honor and privilege to volunteer with Tennis without Borders again as we embark on another project in Africa. Tennis Without Borders (www.tenniswithoutborders.org) is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to help children develop life skills through tennis. We provide instruction, programming development, equipment (rackets, balls, shoes, etc) and school supplies to programs in need.

Jeff Slack, is Lincoln County’s case manager for MaineHealth’s CarePartners program, which is run through the Maine Medical Center. For eight years, he has helped thousands of uninsured and underinsured individuals access health care by connecting them to free and reduced-cost health insurance and medication

The Damariscotta Lions Club will be at Main Street Grocery also.

Their team covers Lincoln, Sagadahoc and Know counties, focusing on folks who struggle with internet affordability, old devices, need tech support, etc.  working with the regions libraries and many adult ed programs to fund public acc computers, loanable hot spots and digital skills classes.
